There are balloons floating from our belly buttons when we sleep. Each person, in their dreams, is both a dreamer and a freer. When we cut with our fingers these strings like scissors, we must hold on to the strings with our hands. We forget the dreams so easily because the second that conscious thought fills our hands, the balloon with the dream floats away. If you cut someone's balloon string who is cutting yours, you will be in each other's dream. This is somewhat rare, but it happens. We do not know whose we cut. We are of two beings- the dreaming, still one, and the active, working one. It is our tithe to our dreams. We must work for them.
Sometimes we sleep so deeply that we do not think we dream. This happens when we are confused and cut our own and our mind returns to the body. We have not filled our part of the bargain by freeing the space for our subconscious to dream, and so we sleep deeply, the space pregnant with our selves and nowhere for the dream to sit- our hands are full with our souls and so cannot hold any balloons.
